The quiet part,
said out loud.

The short version

Remember works two ways. Without an account, everything — your profile, birth details, test results, journal entries and every calculation — stays on your device in localStorage, and nothing reaches a server we control. With an account (used for the Plus tier and cross-device sync), a copy of your data is stored securely so it follows you between devices. You can delete the account and everything in it at any time, in one tap.

Without an account

If you never sign in, Remember is local-only. Your name, birth date, birth place, test answers, numerology, archetypes, journal and every derived calculation live on your device alone. We don’t see them, store them, or transmit them. There is no tracking of individual behaviour, no session replay, no fingerprinting.

With an account (Plus / sync)

When you create an account to sync across devices or unlock the Plus tier, the following is stored on our infrastructure so the service can work:

  • · Your email — used to sign you in (passwordless magic link) and to send essential account email.
  • · Your profile & content — name, birth date, time and place, the personality results derived from them, plus the journal entries, reflections and saved connections you choose to sync. This exists so the same data appears on every device you sign in from.
  • · Subscription record — your tier and a Stripe customer reference, so we know what you have access to. We never store card numbers (see Payments).

Legal basis: we process this to perform the contract you enter when you create an account and subscribe, and — for the sensitive content you choose to write (journal, reflections) — on the basis of your consent, given by syncing it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by turning off sync or deleting your account.

Who processes data on our behalf

We don’t run our own servers. We rely on a few trusted providers, each under a data-processing agreement:
  • · Supabase — authentication and the database that holds your synced account data.
  • · Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles your card directly; we never receive or store card details.
  • · Vercel — hosting. Standard server logs (IP, user agent, request path, timestamp) are recorded for reliability and abuse protection.
  • · Resend — sends transactional email (e.g. account notices). No marketing without your opt-in.

Some providers process data outside the EU. Where they do, transfers are covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Payments

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled by Stripe. Your card number, expiry and security code go straight to Stripe and never touch our systems. We keep only a customer reference and your subscription status. Stripe retains payment and invoice records for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax.

Analytics & cookies

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Analytics and Plausible) that count aggregate page views and events without identifying you. We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies we use are the essential ones that keep you signed in — which is why Remember shows no cookie-consent banner.

How long we keep it

Synced account data is kept until you delete your account or ask us to remove it. Short-lived backups roll off within days. Once you delete your account, your data is removed from our database; payment records held by Stripe are retained only as long as accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your data, and object to or withdraw consent for processing. To exercise any of these, use the controls in the app or email us at support@remember-app.io. If you believe we’ve mishandled your data, you may complain to your local data-protection authority — in Romania, the ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).

Deleting your data

Local data: open Settings → Data & Privacy to export a JSON backup or wipe everything on this device. Account & server data: open Settings → your account card → Delete account. That permanently erases your account and all server-side data — profile, journal, reflections, saved connections and subscription record — and cancels any active subscription. It cannot be undone.

Children

Remember is intended for users aged 16 and older. It is a self-reflection tool, not a medical or psychological service.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle data changes, this page is updated and dated before the change ships. Material changes are highlighted by a new “last updated” date.

Who we are & contact

Remember is operated from Romania by its founder [operator — insert legal name / PFA / SRL once registered], who is the data controller. Reach us about anything in this policy at support@remember-app.io.
